Yelena M. Rivera Vale oversees marketing and communications efforts, project management, leadership communications and development, editing and copywriting, design, web development and content management, social media, event promotion, and more. She also instructs GT1000/2000 and serves as chair of Tech's ERG HOLA.
Yelena moved to Atlanta from Puerto Rico in 2014 to work with Housing and Residence Life as GTCN TV and web operations coordinator. In 2021, she was promoted to web development and communications specialist for the Student Engagement and Well-Being Division. Before joining Georgia Tech, she had a long career in Puerto Rico's television industry, where she worked as a producer, director, and writer for the formerly PBS-affiliated station WIPR.
Yelena is a passionate advocate for gender equality, sustainability, and well-being. She actively collaborates with colleagues and partners, inspiring and empowering others to create a better future for all.
